Measurement

The 2/3s have been learning about measuring the length and width of various objects.  One of the things they need to measure was themselves.  While the class brainstormed various ways of measuring themselves, one way to go was definitely the fun way!

Cadbury's Hoof

One very nice sunny day Josie was outside brushing her beautiful black horse Cadbury by the horse shed.  She was up to doing his hooves.  Josie was up to his large back left hoof but he didn’t want that hoof to be done and that is very unusual.  Read on to find out what happens next.

Josie looked carefully into the big hoof and she saw a horrible tragedy.  Cadbury had a bad stone bruise.  Josie was thinking about how much fun she could be having.  She was  feeling very terrified.

Josie knew what she had to do.  She had to stop riding for a week.  After a whole week she checked the hoof and it was all healed. She felt very relieved and happy!

Guinea Pigs are Fun

One fabulous morning Josh went to feed his guinea pig Winy and she was gone!  Josh was freaked out and very scared.

Old Josh went to get his lage family and Daniel.  They all worked together to find the guinea pig. Josh found Winy under the cubby house.  Daniel jumped for Winy and got her!  Josh was so happy.  Josh patted her.

Jack's Horse

At dark night when Jack was sawndly asleep he heard a strange and terobal noise. He got out of bed and went to the window.  He was terrified and scared.

Jack ran to the door of his Dad’s bedroom and said, “Dad!  Two men are at the pink gate throwing rocks at my beautiful horse, Minty.”  So Dad got out of bed and went to the door.  Dad ripped the door off its hinges and got the blue telephone and called the good police. The police came and put the two men in jail.

Minty was very badly hurt.  She needed a vet.  The vet said, ’’Give Minty this pill every week.’’ Minty  got  beter and the horrible two men where never were heard from again.  At last Jack was relived.  At last his horse was safe.

The Vet

One rainy day in town Tyson and Riley went to the park and then they went to the vet.  Read on to find out why Tyson was there.

Tyson was fantastically playing at the park.  Then Tyson came back to Border Collie Riley.  Riley had eaten a bit of sand.  Tyson felt shocked.

Tyson knew that he had to take Riley to the vet.  Tyson did not know what would happen to Riley.  He felt very worried.

At the vet, the vet checked Riley to see that Riley didn’t have sand in him.  Tyson felt so relaxed that Riley was safe.

Teenie Weenie and Jordan

One sunny morning at her Noni’s fantastic house Jordan was riding her beautiful horse named Teenie Weenie.

When Jordan was jumping over a cross jump on Teenie Weenie the horse suddenly hurt her beautiful back!  Jordan didn’t know what to do.  Jordan was frightened that she would die.  Jordan was so worried that she would faint.  Jordan was terribly shocked.

Jordan took Teenie Weenie to the vet!  The vet gave Teenie Weenie a nice massage.  The next day Teenie Weenie was better.  Jordan could ride her again!   Jordan was happy that Teenie Weenie was OK.

Guinea Pig on the Loose

One terrible day on the 30/1/13. a Guinea pig came to the house and destroying the house.  Daniel had to stop it from wrecking everything in the world. read on to find out what happened next.

Daniel was playing with his remote control car and then BANG, BANG, BANG!  The guinea pig broke Daniel’s remote control car.  “No! My birthday present!  Come on!  I am going to stop it!”  Daniel jumped on the bed and chased it.  He was very sad.   It was 5 o’clock when he started chase the guinea pig.  Now it is 7 o’clock.

Daniel called the whole neighbourhood and they ran into the house we were thinking and then we surrounded it and jumped! We caught it!  Yes we are nearly done and we found the owner and give the guinea pig to him.

The Terrific 2/3 Class may actually be the luckiest students in Australia!

If you look back a few posts ago you can see the posters that we made for Kim Hannah and Ross Glendinning to say thank you for coming into our school to talk to us and teach us footy skills.  Kim Hannah and Ross Glendinning took these posters back to the West Coast Eagles and asked Nic Naitanui to sign them!  They then sent the posters back to us.
